I read a number of journals with a network analysis, project management, or knowledge management theme. My favourite is Connections published by the International Network or Social Network Analysis . I like Connections because it has a nice mix of highly technical mathematic articles and more accessible case studies, and is affordable. Now I have a new journal to read.
Springer has just released a journal called Social Network Analysis and Mining. According to Springer the explosive growth in interest in networks, and increasing sub-specialisation, warrants a new journal. The new journal is intended be multi-disciplinary and to cater for the need of academics and industry alike. They are trying to attract articles from the social, mathematical, medical, biological, computer sciences, with an emphasis on experimental and theoretical work. Already I think they are limiting their audience to be mainly academics, but we’ll see.
