I finally received formal feedback from the University of Canberra for the half-day seminar I ran on Wednesday the 30th of January 2008. The seminar was called “Introducing Network Analysis as a Research Technique ”, and was part of Canberra University’s Inter-University Research Workshop Program . Feedback is always welcome, but I was particularly chuffed this time. The graph below shows why.

Best aspects: presenter’s mastering of the breath of possible applications of this methodology. Practical advice. Meeting other students. Sharing with experts and members of the class. Clear- did what it said it would – useful. New IT skills. Moved quickly, covered a lot, interactive, practical advice, great graphics. Appropriate level. Graham is great, and tailored presentation brilliantly, very approachable as well. Quality and volume of information/resources provided.

Suggested improvements: a ‘PRAC’ of basic SNA within the group. Let us know we should bring a computer – have more time for the prac exercise, which would have been really useful. Repeat or follow up workshop for practitioners. Use computer lab.
